Created as a realistic three-dimensional Raised Embroidery piece from wired poly cotton, stranded thread, wooden beads, seed beads, fine metal thread and finished off with a glittering silver lamé ribbon.

​

In this class you will learn the technique of trailing worked by using neat over stitches to attach the wire to the fabric. The outer edges are then glued, dried and trimmed. Finally, the whole leaf is bound with Buttonhole Stitch.

 

The berries are covered with white thread, and a final flourish of silver ensures it will catch the light. All the leaves and berries are then wrapped together and teased into shape to create a beautiful and realistic sprig of Mistletoe.
