Silk shading embroidery

This is my Royal School of Needlework Future Tutor module in basic silk shading.

A fiendishly difficult subject, due to to the tight curls on the petal edges, alongside the changes in colour. Tricky, but a very satisfying challenge.

Silk shading is executed in long and short stitch. I used DMC stranded and some Anchor to complete the project.
