An incredible, funny, lively and completely irreplaceable woman left us in 2017. I'd known her for 25 years and had some brilliant shared memories of parties, holidays, choir - and many nights putting everything to rights over a bottle of wine or two.
The happiest I ever saw her was on her wedding day a few years ago. She looked like a glamorous Hollywood starlet from the 50's - complete with circle skirt, masses of petticoats - and sunglasses!
This is the image I've tried to capture in blackwork. I decided to leave it unfinished, as nothing I do can live up to the real thing.
Party on, dearest Jo.
